Since the government's announcement to allow the Post office to increase their prices, Digitech have seen a significant increase in customers using the scanning facilities on their photocopiers. We have also spoken to 12 companies over the past week who were all considering the added advantages of scanning and emailing.
 
Nearly all our products are now sold as network printers and most have the ability to network scan.  What makes our products viable is the speed and ease of the process. Scanning directly to email is seamless and free! It's a natural progression.

Scanning to email or file can save a company thousands of pounds each year. Director at Digitech Peter Waller has calculated that by using email for sending just statements to customers, the company will save £4800 per annum. It really makes sense.
 
As with a lot of companies we have spoken to, the increase in cost of a 2nd class stamp to 50p has pushed us into finding an alternative. Its now just not viable to send reminders via snail mail.
