If your business is looking to purchase a new A3 copier printer, the likelihood is you'll want to buy a colour device. Research from analysts IDC suggests that by 2020 some 85 per cent of A3 office copiers purchased in Europe will be colour as opposed to monochrome. This trend is being driven by decreasing running costs, as well as the expectations of higher quality for end-users.
For Sharp, this move from monochrome to colour is a key demand , and one they're responding to with their ever-expanding MX range of colour MFPs. This can be seen with the latest additions to the Sharp A3 portfolio in the form of the Essential series MX-5050N and MX-6050N and the Advanced MX-5070N and MX-6070N, offering high-speed printer options of up to 50 and 60 pages per minute. These new A3 copier printers bring the range to a comprehensive 13 models with common options, consumables and interfaces so that the customer can choose the A3 MFP that best suits their business needs.
Sharp MX copier printers offer commonality of features, so whichever Sharp MX model you look at you'll find the same underlying parts and main features, something that is central to the Sharp design strategy, making it easier than ever to find the perfect model. So, if you're an IT engineer you'll be able to setup and manage the fleet centrally with ease, all using the same technology and consumables. This reduces the amount of stock required to be kept on hand, the amount of warehousing space that is required to hold that stock, and therefore helps to keep costs down.
So what are the shared features across the Sharp MX MFP range? Sharp copier printers have one user interface with an easy mode home screen offering a fresh look, so you can do simple tasks very quickly. Being able to customise the interface is important too. If you have a particular work style, or there are certain jobs you tend to carry out regularly, you can change the home screen to suit your needs. With print release capabilities, users will be able to release documents from any available Sharp MFP on the network. This empowers the user to avoid any bottlenecks caused by device maintenance or print queues while ensuring confidentiality because your documents are never left unattended.
The motion sensor on the Sharp Advanced MX range also increases efficiency. As you approach it, the copier will detect you and will awake from sleep mode, ready to process any jobs when you are and with less waiting. USB direct printing allows you to print from a USB memory stick by simply plugging it in to the MFP. Easily find your file from a thumbnail preview in a pop-up menu. Print a variety of file formats, including Microsoft office. Scanning to the memory stick is just as easy.
While commonality works across the whole range, Sharp have added special features to the Sharp Essential MX-5050N and MX-6050N and the Advanced MX-5070N and MX-6070N to offer high-print volume environments the best experience possible. As well as faster printing, copying and scanning, the new 50 to 60ppm devices use a toner hopper that effectively keeps a reserved tank of additional toner, allowing you to replenish the toner without pausing the print run, helping to maintain high levels of productivity in the office.
